Are you tired of trying all those weight loss pills and cosmetic surgeries yet not meeting the body you want? Have you experienced placing yourself in an extreme diet that resulted to higher appetite when nobody sees you eating? Don’t worry because health experts told that you don’t really need those to look good in those hot summer outfits. Does that sound great?
And are you ready for the seret?
The basics! Eat the healthy foods which actually has lower calorie content than what you burn in a day!
“It’s easier to make better food choices in summertime, when heavy, high-calorie dishes seem less appealing.,” says Prof. Luchie Callanta, Senior Lecturer of the University of the Philippines College of Home Economics. She also added that “the best food for weight loss in summer should be light, fibrous and refreshing.” I find that true because during summer people just really can’t get enough of fresh fruit shake juices as their refreshments.
Prof Callanta, resident nutritionist of Dona Elena Cuisinera Club, a group of concerned mothers, health practitioners and food enthusiasts who are pushing for a healthy eating lifestyle for Filipinos explained that the single easiest way tro trim calories is to load up on nature’s bounty. This would mean that people should consume fruits and vegetables that are low in calories but definitely full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibers.
Professor Callanta also suggested that for people who really can’t give up meal on their daily meal, they have to make sure that they just limit the intake of it and that it’s been cooked healthy using an olive oil instead of the ordinary cooking oils available anywhere. It is believed by health experts that the first step to a healthy eating is replacing low quality oils with olive oil.
And you know, because of the “financial” crisis that the world is facing today this is the dilemma, this caused to be the dilemma of most Filipino to prefer those affordable but less quality oils even if they are aware of the impact of this to health. But thanks to Dona Elena Olive Oil that consumers find the brand to have the same throng of health benefits – not to mention its rich and flavorful taste – without going over the budget.

Dona Elena olive oil makes health benefits like protection against certain heart diseases, cancer and diabetes more accessible to average Filipino’s table.
Olive oil increases HDL (High Density Lipiproteing – meaning good cholesterol) that helps clear clogged arteries and is rich in monosaturated fat and antioxidants like chlorophyll, carotenoids, Vitamin E, flavonoids, squalene and polyphenols which contribute to help and protect against Cancer! In fact, olive oil tops the list of healthy oils recommended by the American Heart Asssociation for food preparation.
“So if YOU want to get that beautiful beach body, remember to exercise regularly and have a roper diet. After all, beauty isn’t skin deep – IT STARTS FROM WITHIN,” Ends Prof Callanta.
